Why this exists

Animal protection organizations are being told AI changes everything — usually by people selling something. What's been missing is a calm, trustworthy place that answers the practical questions: what's worth trying, what to watch out for, and how organizations like yours are actually using these tools.

Everything here comes out of Vegan Hacktivists' AI services work with movement organizations. When we learn something useful, it becomes a resource. When several orgs hit the same question, it becomes an FAQ. When a build works, it becomes a case study — anonymized, with the parts you can copy made explicit.

The five content types

Every resource is one of five repeatable formats, so you always know what you're getting:

• How-tos — Practical recipes: how to do a specific task with specific tools, today. Steps, copyable prompts, and honest time estimates.
• Prompts — Copy-paste prompts for the movement's everyday work — tested, customizable, and approved before publication. A ready-to-paste prompt, when to use it, and how to make it yours.
• Case Studies — How real movement organizations built AI and automation workflows. The problem, the build, where humans stay in the loop, what to copy.
• Guides — How to think about AI: policy, security, planning, and org readiness. Frameworks and checklists you can adapt, not hype.
• Talks & Trainings — Recorded talks, webinars, and training sessions — watch, copy the slides, share with your team. A recording or deck you can use directly, with the takeaways in writing.
• Tool Overviews — Plain-language overviews of the AI tools advocacy teams use. What it is, what it's good at, watch-outs, and how to start.
• FAQs — Quick, trustworthy answers to the questions teams ask us most. A straight answer in under a minute, with links to go deeper.

How this stays useful

This library is maintained as a living system, not a publish-once archive. Our AI Services team curates it around the questions, projects, and patterns that come up in our work with movement organizations. We add what proves useful, revisit resources as tools change, and keep case studies anonymized so the practical lessons can travel.

Tools change fast. Each entry shows when it was last updated, and we'd rather say "check current docs" than pretend version details stay true forever.
